Privacy

• What the forms collect. Only what you type in: your name, a phone number or email so we can reply, and your listing, report, job or message. We use it only to answer you or to check and publish what you asked for.
• Where it goes. To our own server, and it is emailed to the site team. It is kept for at most 180 days and then deleted. Your IP address is not stored.
• Spam check. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a program, sent the form.
• If our server is down. Only then, the form goes through Formspree instead, so that nothing is lost.
• Notices. A notice you send is read by a person before it appears. In public it shows only the notice itself: its type, the text, the place, the date and time, and whether it is Official or Community. Your phone number or email stays private: only the person checking the notice sees them. Notices are deleted 30 days after they end.
• The new-notices count. The number on the Notices tab uses one timestamp kept in your own browser (the last time you opened the notices page). It is never sent to us as anything about you and is not used for tracking.
• Notice alerts. Alerts are off until you turn them on from the bell on the Notices page. Then we keep only what your browser gives us to reach it (a push address and two keys, which say nothing about you) and the kinds of notice you picked, with the date you turned them on. No name, phone number, IP address or list of pages you read. The alert itself is encrypted on its way to your phone. To stop them, tap the bell on the Notices page and choose Turn off, or block notifications for jaranwala.com in your browser. If your browser tells us an alert address no longer works, we delete it.
• Forms sent without the spam check. A form sent without it (for example with JavaScript turned off) is not emailed. The site team reads it on the site, and it is deleted after 30 days.
• Visit counts. Google Analytics counts visits and which pages are read. There are no ads on this site.

To have your details deleted, email contact@jaranwala.com and say which form you sent.
