How this site works

• Free to be listed. Every business in Jaranwala can be listed at no cost, and the order of listings is not sold.
• No political content. No party, candidate, campaign or office-holder is promoted here, and no such request will be accepted.
• Anything paid is labelled. If the site ever carries a sponsored item, it will say “Sponsored” plainly and sit apart from the free listings.
• No payments from visitors. Visitors are never asked for payment details. Links to services such as FESCO, Sui Northern, NADRA and the Municipal Committee's complaint system point at those organisations' own websites.

Install the app

Jaranwala.com works like an app on your phone, with nothing to download from the Play Store. Tap More in the bar at the bottom of the screen, then Install app. If that does not show, use your browser's menu instead: on Android in Chrome, open the menu (the three dots) and choose Install app or Add to Home screen; on an iPhone in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Inside Instagram or Facebook, open the page in Chrome first. It takes very little space and opens on the home page.

Where the information comes from

Historical material is drawn from published sources. Directory listings were compiled by hand from public information. Prayer times come from the AlAdhan prayer timetable, and weather data from Open-Meteo.com (CC BY 4.0); both update automatically. The country flags in the “Visited from” strip are from the flag-icons project by Panayiotis Lipiridis (MIT licence).

What happens to the forms you send

When you send a form on this site (a business listing, a report, a job or a message), it goes to our own server and is emailed to the site team. It is kept for at most 180 days and then deleted. A form sent without the spam check is not emailed: the team reads it on the site, and it is deleted after 30 days. Your IP address is not stored. To keep out spam, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a program, sent the form. If our server is ever down, the form goes through Formspree, the service this site used before, so that nothing is lost.

A notice sent for the Notices page shows in public only as the notice itself (its type, text, place, date and time, and an Official or Community label). The phone number or email you give with it stays private, seen only by the person who checks it, and notices are deleted 30 days after they end. The count of new notices on the Notices tab uses one timestamp kept in your own browser, with no tracking. More on the privacy page.

About the illustrations

The artwork across the site is illustration rather than photography, produced with AI image tools and directed by hand. It is meant to represent the city, not to document it. Where a real person is described, no invented likeness is shown.

If something here is wrong, out of date, or should not be published, please say so and it will be corrected or removed. To suggest a listing, write to contact@jaranwala.com. Listings are added on merit.
